Meet the Founder
William "Bill" Zimmer
Bill Zimmer is the owner of Blaze HVAC and has been working in the heating and air conditioning trade since 1984, bringing over four decades of hands-on HVAC experience to homes and businesses throughout Sonoma County.
Bill earned his Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Sacramento, and later completed professional HVACR certification through the University of California Extension, strengthening his technical expertise with formal training. He began his career in the field and went on to work as an HVAC estimator, gaining deep knowledge of system design, load calculations, and project planning.
Before opening his own company, Bill served as an Operations Manager, where he managed daily operations and led teams of up to 35 HVAC installers. His responsibilities included scheduling, quality control, safety oversight, and ensuring projects were completed efficiently and to industry standards.
In 2000, Bill founded Blaze HVAC, combining his technical background and leadership experience to build a family-owned HVAC company focused on quality workmanship and dependable service. Over the years, he has completed a wide range of projects, including residential heating and cooling installations, light commercial HVAC systems, and industrial ventilation systems.
Today, Bill remains actively involved in the business, applying decades of experience to every project and ensuring Blaze HVAC continues to deliver reliable, honest heating and air conditioning solutions tailored to the needs of Sonoma County customers.
